Yesterday ended up being very stressful and emotional for me. We met with the loan officer and it took over two hours. However, we were pleasantly surprised to be "pre-approved" pending verification of information we have provided.
SOOO, we met with our realtor last night and made an offer on the "big house." Simply put, we feel we offered them a very reasonable deal and their (seller's) realtor seemed pleased to have our offer coming in.
Now, we wait! They have until 10:00 Wed (tomorrow) morning to respond to our offer. We do know that there is another offer coming today so please pray that if we're to have this home, God will work it all out.
We have set a tentative closing date of Jan 19, 2007 or sooner but not before Jan. 1. It's a little longer for seller's to wait but if the $$ is better they will wait a month longer than the other offer so, it's possible.
Thankfully, since the last post we have paid off the five government liens and have two more that will take care of ASAP. After that, we're good to go!!! YIPPEE!!!
Can't post any pictures today - another time I guess.
This is my world. Where I strive to do the best I can to live for Jesus in every way. You'll see where I fail, fall short and fall flat on my face. Then you'll see Jesus pick me up and keep going.

Trabajamos todos juntos para salir adelante!
"We all work together in order to succeed."
Today is a good day!
Roy and I have been working on bettering our credit since this summer when we started the rollercoaster ride of land/home shopping.
Well, today we have good news! We were able to clear up one account completely AND found out from a government agency what our real balance is now and it's one that we can pay! In case you don't know, when you owe a government agency money, they put a personal lien on you, known as a judgment. Well, needless to say, this is not good news. So, we've (okay, Roy) done our paperwork and found out what we really owe and so now we can pay them off completely and have that judgment removed!!! Praise God!
So, keep praying that we God continues to bless us as we get our finances in order and will hopefully be able to buy this one house we've fallen in love with!!!

Construction Zone
Ready, set, grow! At 5 months/20 weeks our baby is concentrating on getting bigger now. The organs are growing, and a special brown fat appears under the skin. Vernix forms now—it's the thick, white substance that protects the skin and will help the baby slip out at birth. The little one weighs 8 or 9 ounces and measures five or six inches. He'll add some ounces and even an inch or two this month.
My emotional state has an effect on our baby throughout pregnancy. When I experience stress, for example, the baby's heart rate and activity increase. I'm told the key is... DON'T STRESS! The bottom line is, Rest up, eat right, get help in relieving stress, and simply take it easy. Connect with my family and friends. The more relaxed I are, the more relaxed our baby will be too.
I'm feeling pretty pregnant now and get winded walking up the stairs. I'll have Roy take a picture today and post for our half-way mark. Time's a flying!

We're Back!
What a grand and glorious time we had deer hunting! Antonio was SO good and walked his little legs off. Here he is with his Granda on the 4-wheeler. He is so cute with all his camo on and blaze orange safety vest.Melynda did exceptionally well! She never once complained of being tired or cold; which I'm sure she was at some point and time of the hunt.
We got two deer and came home with one as I relinquished mine to Fish & Game and it went to a man in Featherville who needed much more than we.
Melynda got three opportunities to get her doe but the "Buck Fever" hit and she missed hers but did great and was a trooper the whole time.
We're home now and have tons of work to catch up on today with laundry (Phewwy!), company stuff and two funeral escorts.
I'd best get to work 'cause if my Dad knew that he took Paco so I could get some work done and I was posting here...well, let's just say I'd better get to work!
I came across this card I got a long time ago and it just really spoke to me today:
Holy moments come to us daily if we will ask for eyes to see.
It may be the sun streaming through the window as you fold laundry.
Or maybe it's lifting your friends to God while you vacuum.
We can't always withdraw to quiet hillsides to pray,
but Christ will meet us in the quiet places of our hearts.

A Hunting We Will Go....!
Tomorrow we leave for our 4 day hunting trip. The big boys must stay home for school, football and PSAT obligations. Dad, Roy, Mel, Paco and I will leave as soon as we tomorrow after Mel's basketball practice.
We have 3 doe tags - Dad, Mel and I. It is Mel's first year actually hunting, though she has been for learning experiences in years prior. We're all excited to get out of town and into the mountains for a few days.
The weather has cooled down a lot so it should be interesting to see if we stay warm enough. If not, keep walking, right?!
Paco is going to stay with his Granddad and talks of hunting all day long. It is the first year he has gone out hunting with us and not stayed with his Nana during the day.
So, please pray for safety and success as the meat is a much needed staple for our big (and growing) family.
As for me, I have good days and bad days. Excited moments and terrified ones. Thanks for remembering me.
Until I return with photos and updates -

Blame on the Hormones?
I've tried posting several times and they didn't go through. Grrrr.
Lately, I have not had such good days emotionally. I love my family and am happiest playing outside with Paco or reading to him on my lap. Naps are my favorite time of the day, of course. :)
For those of you who actually read this, please pray for me. I'm having a hard time and just need lifted up to our Father in Heaven.
Signing Out,
