Are you up for the challenge? It will not only lower your heating costs, it greatly reduces the CO2 impact for environment!!! Even one degree makes a difference. What will you do?
This is my world. Where I strive to do the best I can to live for Jesus in every way. You'll see where I fail, fall short and fall flat on my face. Then you'll see Jesus pick me up and keep going.
last year we set our thermostat to 65 degress 24-7. And in the summer we set the air to 76 or 78, I can't remember. Anyway, it cut our energy costs in half - literally! I don't know if I could do 62... maybe at night... I would definitely do it if I had a wood burning stove, but our "fireplace" is gas, so that's not much help.
ReplyDeleteOne way to save on energy is to join Idaho Power's A/C Cool Credit. You can learn more @ www.idahopower.com/accoolcredit. They have 22,000 customers in the program at this time with a goal of 40,000 by the end of 2009. Like the scheppers, I have an alternative-- electric fireplace which isn't much help either.
